New Tutorial: Skulls, Hearts & Crossbones!

       Finally, a new tutorial and just in time for the spooky holidays too! My newest tutorial is a twist on your normal Halloween manicure. My skulls are...dare I say, cute?       This super simple tutorial is great for beginners and will also be perfect if you are celebrating Dia de Los Muertos! (I have always loved this Mexican holiday... las calaveras de azúcar son muy bonitas!)      The best part about this spooktacularly adorable manicure is that you can wear it any time of year. Skulls are a huge trend right now so why not translate that trend to your nails!

Nail Polish eCards Cure the "Mondays"

It seems to me that everyone I know is OBSESSED with eCards. There is an eCard for EVERYTHING. I have a case of the Monday's today and I though, what better way to cheer myself up than to find some wonderful eCards...about my most favorite thing...NAIL POLISH?!?

OPI loves its celebrity collections and the brand's widely sold Nicole by OPI branch is no exception. Last holiday season, Nicole by OPI launched Kardashian Kolor -- 14 shades of nail polish inspired by the infamous Kardashian clan!

Now in January 2013, Nicole by OPI will give us another celeb collection, this time from Selena Gomez! Selena's line will also feature 14 polishes in a variety of colors.

Now, we've all see shades that are similar across the major polish brands, but what happens when a brand makes a dupe of its own polish? (A dupe is a duplicate or very similar color.) Check out the two colors below -- one is from the Kardashian Kolor collection and the other will be part of Selena Gomez's line!

Coming Soon: January 2013, Lines to Look For!

It may only be the second week of October, but you might want to start preparing for January 2013! Two very exciting, celeb-inspired collections will be released by the OPI family at the beginning of next year and I can hardly wait.

Just Jared reports that one line will be from the brand's Nicole by OPI branch. Selena Gomez is the celebrity inspiring this collection. Selena's line will include 14 colors ranging from pretty, pastel pinks to bold and dazzling glitters.

 The names of the polishes are inspired by some of her song and movie titles. Here are some of my favs from Selena's beautiful collection: Confetti Fun, Sweet Dreams and Pretty in Plum.

Another collection from the OPI brand will also be released in January 2013! Mariah Carey, one of the new additions to the American Idol judging panel, will release a collection of polishes with OPI's original polish.

Details about the collection are still fuzzy, but everyone is expecting lots of flash and glam from the glamourous diva.

Gimme That GOLD!

All that glitters is gold!
No, but really. Now there is nail polish with REAL gold flecks in it. We can thank nail polish giants OPI and Zoya for the latest and greatest in nail glitz and glam.

Zoya's gold top coat is called GLITY and can be pre-ordered NOW on the Zoya Website! The orders are set to ship October 15th!*** The polish comes in a set of 3 polishes: a black, a white and the gold top coat.
***UPDATE: Zoya tweeted today that the GILTY Pleasures set is SOLD OUT. The item is limited edition due to scarcity of the materials used and will not be made available again. So...start checking Ebay! ;)

OPI's golden top coat is part of OPI's Holiday 2012 collection 'Skyfall' which is inspired by 007! The collection should be available sometime in October as well!

Demi Lovato: Polish Your Pinky Blue

Demi Lovato says wear blue polish on your PINKY!

Demi Lovato always has interesting nails! Her latest talon trend all about anti-bullying. Lovato recently spoke to The Young Woman's Leadership school in New York about her struggle with bullies in middle school reports Just Jared.

Lovato recalled many instances where kids were simply cruel. Bullying is never O.K. Help raise awareness against bullying and polish YOUR pinky blue!
